Dry and dehydrated skin can overlap, but they are not identical. Dry skin tends to produce less sebum, while dehydration describes low water content in the outer skin. I build the routine around comfort rather than assuming everyone needs more exfoliation or more steps.
Step 1: Cleanse Gently
I use a mild cleanser such as Dermathod Revive Cleansing Gel when the skin is already feeling tight or dry.
Step 2: Add Hydration If Needed
A humectant serum can add a lightweight layer. NeoGenesis Beta Serum is one option I use when someone wants hydration without a heavy texture.
Step 3: Choose the Moisturizer by Feel
For richer moisture I reach for Corthe Rich M Cream. The goal is to reduce tightness and water loss, not to hit a predetermined number of Korean skincare steps.
Step 4: Sunscreen in the Morning
Finish the morning routine with broad-spectrum sunscreen.
What I Skip When Skin Is Very Dry
I do not automatically add acids, scrubs or multiple treatment serums to a routine that already stings or flakes. If the skin is irritated, simplify first.
How Fast Should It Improve?
There is no universal one- or two-week timeline. Comfort can improve quickly with a better routine, while persistent dryness or barrier disruption may take longer depending on the cause.
